“Nick Alan” is the nom de plume of someone with a name other than the name “Nick Alan”. He studied with the Dominican friars of the Western Province at their seminary, the Dominican School of Philosophy & Theology, where he earned his M.A. in philosophy. His interests are too broad for modernity’s needs and demands, though this blog may be an attempt at a gentleman’s compromise with hard reality. If only reality were a gentleman in turn.

Nick writes, but also photographs (you will find his photos dappling these pages), draws, and occasionally composes music. This page (for now) focuses on the writing.
